Words cannot describe my love for George Crumb and my gratitude for his singular music— music which inspired my discovery of singing. Cal Performances presents the world premiere of George Crumb's The Yellow Moon of Andalusia with the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players led by the indefatigable Steven Schick. I will also be premiering the revised version of Crumb's Yesteryear, which he initially wrote for me back in 2005. This concert is part of CP & SFCMP's joint venture, Project Ten-Fourteen.
